O’Ya Cantina Coming to Briar Chapel
Located in the site of the former Sadie’s restaurant in Briar Chapel, the all-new O’Ya Cantina will showcase authentic recipes from Mexico and Peru. In fact, the owners traveled to Central and South America to research the dishes, bringing back a menu of historic recipes such as Peruvian chicken and rice, ceviche, tamales, bowls and tacos. In addition, guests can order cocktails from O’Ya’s margarita, sangria and mojito bar.
“Briar Chapel has been an incredible, welcoming community, and we wanted to provide another place for the residents to hang out,” said Dave Sadeghi, owner, Town Hall Burger & Beer and O’Ya. “We love being a part of the fabric of this community.”
Fashioned after the Town Hall Burger & Beer model in Briar Chapel, guests will be able to order their selections fresh from the counter and relax while dinner is served to the table. O’Ya will have a soft, open ambience filled with bright, cheerful colors and natural lights. Dave envisions a warm, welcoming atmosphere perfect for families and social outings. In the early summer, O’Ya will add an outdoor bar near the patio fireplace so that guests from both Town Hall and O’Ya can enjoy the seasonal weather and programming, such as live music in Briar Chapel.
And the name? “O’Ya was a fun, playful greeting from one of my staff members,” said Dave. “The fun feel of it just seemed to fit the vibe of our new restaurant!”
O’Ya is already under construction with a slated opening date of January 2020. Stay tuned here and on our Facebook page for updates!
