We believe that it is our responsibility to make Briar Chapel an enduring and healthy community. It is our respect for this land that has motivated us to find innovative ways to build new homes including:
- minimizing the impact on the environment through careful land planning and stringent sustainable development practices,
- preserving approximately 900 acres of open space, steep slopes, streambeds, and significant tree stands,
- advanced erosion control and storm water management systems that preserve our natural habitat and ensure water quality,
- enhanced native habitat with indigenous plant species to conserve water,
- roadways designed to maximize tree canopy for native birds,
- approximately 24 miles of trail systems to encourage a pedestrian culture,
- new residential construction that not only respects the land but creates a healthier environment for residents,
- green home construction as a requirement for all builders.
